Mercedes-Benz 300SL Alas de Gaviota
James May, de Top Gear, considera el Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing el primer superdeportivo de la historia, antes de que llegaran Ferrari o Lamborghini. Se cumplen ahora 50 años de su aparición y por ello Top Gear ha hecho una pequeña prueba de este mítico modelo.
Lo que lo hacía tan especial en aquella época eran sus aproximadamente 250 km/h, su peso ligero, su aerodinámica y por supuesto sus puertas de ala de gaviota.
Sin embargo lo que más mérito tiene para mí es que su diseño sigue vigente hoy en día, y el Mercedes SLR McLaren conserva algunos de sus rasgos como el morro o las branquias laterales.
